Hydrate
Drink at least 2–3 litres of water the day of your visit and keep intake high for three days after. The lymphatic system needs fluid to move what cavitation released.
Cavitation starts the work. What you do afterward — water, movement, lymphatic support, and well-fitted compression — helps the body finish it. This page is the at-home companion to your visit.
The foundation
Ultrasonic cavitation uses focused sound to disrupt fat-cell membranes in a mapped pocket. The contents are then carried by the lymphatic system and processed the way the body handles fat from a meal. That is why SonuSculpt pairs every cavitation pass with same-day lymphatic drainage, and why hydration is part of the protocol rather than a footnote.
There is no surgical downtime. You return to your day. Results still build over a series, usually six to eight visits about a week apart, then lighter maintenance. Aftercare is how you protect that investment between visits.
Drink at least 2–3 litres of water the day of your visit and keep intake high for three days after. The lymphatic system needs fluid to move what cavitation released.
Walk the same day. Ordinary movement — a 20-minute walk, light stretching — activates lymphatic flow far better than rest. Avoid intense HIIT for 24 hours.
A lighter plate for 48 hours — less alcohol, less heavy fat and sugar — means the liver is not competing with the work you just did. Protein and vegetables are your friends.
Compression
A well-fitted compression garment is not mandatory, but most clients find it useful — especially in the first few days after treating the belly, flanks, thighs, or arms.
Wear it snug, not punishing. You should be able to breathe, sit, and walk. If fingers or toes tingle, if the garment rolls into a hard ridge, or if skin blanches, it is too tight or the wrong size. Buy two if you can — one to wear, one to wash.
Your plan can be adjusted in consult. A practical starting point for most cavitation clients:
Keep the rest of aftercare simple: lukewarm water on treated skin, a mild moisturizer, no picking or aggressive scrubbing, and a lighter plate for 48 hours.
By zone
Consistently well-reviewed options in each category, chosen for coverage, review volume, and usefulness after body contouring. Measure before you order and check current ratings, size charts, and return policies.
Arms
15–20 or 20–30 mmHg · 4.4–4.5★ typical on best sellers
A full-length sleeve from upper arm to wrist gives even pressure after upper-arm cavitation. Prefer a silicone top band so it stays put, and a pair so you can wash one. Athletic cooling sleeves are fine for light daily wear; choose a lymphedema-style sleeve when you want real compression.
Belly
NYOrtho binder · about 4.2★ from 19,000+ reviews · Made in USA
For lower belly and flanks, a wide adjustable binder is easier to size than a sewn faja and lets you ease pressure as the day goes on. The NYOrtho 3-panel binder is a long-standing best seller. A quality waist trainer belt works if you want more cinch for daytime wear under clothes.
Chin & Neck
M&D and CURVEEZ · about 4.0–4.2★ · Amazon's Choice listings
Look for an open-ear cutout, adjustable Velcro, and coverage from under the chin down the front of the neck. M&D's face-slimming chin strap is the most-bought post-lipo style in this category. CURVEEZ is a close second with slightly higher recent ratings. Measure neck circumference; "one size" straps often fail.
Thighs
SHAPERMINT shorts · about 4.0★ from 79,000+ reviews · category best seller
Mid-thigh shorts cover inner thigh, outer thigh, and often the lower belly in one piece — useful after saddlebag or inner-thigh work. SHAPERMINT is the volume leader. If you want firmer hold, look at Spanx OnCore mid-thigh shorts or a post-op short-leg garment. Avoid a waistband that rolls into the treated zone.
Legs
20–30 mmHg medical tights · 4.2–4.5★ on leading listings
For full-leg or calf-to-thigh work, choose graduated medical compression (firmer at the ankle, easing upward), not fashion leggings labeled "compression." Footless 20–30 mmHg tights cover the treated length without a sock line. Knee-high socks are enough when only the lower leg was mapped.
Buying notes
Snug · flat seams · washable · two if possible
Size from current measurements, not a goal size. The garment should lie flat with no rope-like edges. Breathable nylon-spandex or medical elastic beats cheap latex that rolls. Hand wash cool, air dry, and retire the piece when the elastic goes slack.

At home
Please read. This page is general aftercare education for SonuSculpt clients. Ultrasonic cavitation is a cosmetic, non-invasive service, not a medical treatment or a substitute for evaluation of swelling, pain, or skin changes. Compression garments are supportive tools. They are not appropriate for everyone — including some people with circulation issues, uncontrolled swelling, open skin, or numbness. If you have a medical condition or recent surgery, ask your physician before wearing medical-grade compression. Contact the studio if an area becomes unusually hot, painful, or mottled.
Next step
Aftercare should match the zones you are treating. If you are unsure which garment covers your plan, bring it to your next visit or ask before you order.
